I have my own start-up called 'FLAAP'

It began as an experiment when I was in my 2nd year of under-graduation. Today I am grateful to be catering to an audience of a varied age group across India. All products are made using leftover cloth collected from local tailors or local cloth shops and cruelty free leather. This ensures that each bag is unique. Flaap also customizes designs according to the client needs.

I was featured in Homegrown’s article which aimed to better educate their audience on what it takes to be a young entrepreneur.

2018 was a really exciting year for Flaap with an order of 300+ bags from the ‘IndiaHCI Conference 2018’

All products were made using leftover cloth collected from local tailors or local cloth shops. This ensured that each bag was unique. All the post-diwali waste that tailors had was collected by me. This was an attempt to reduce the fabric waste that is generated in the fashion industry.

I designed and produced badges for the 370 people attending the IndiaHCI Conference that took place in Bangalore in December 2018. I stuck to the colour palette of the conference in order to make all the bags. The cardboard that was used to compliment the cloth was recycled by using huge packaging boxes lying at the 'raddi-walas'. I was able to avoid the usage of plastic sheets adding to a total of 25 mts. (58 x 1000 inches). The cloth badges also have a pocket on the back side which can store visiting cards exchanged by the delegates during the conference. They have a handmade feel to it which feels a lot better compared to plastic.
